1974 American Motors Javelin AMX. ONE of ONLY 4 known OEM FACTORY MATCHING NUMBERS 401 CI with OEM 4 speed cars in the EXTREMELY RARE color of Maxi Blue produced in 1974. This was the final year for the most successful Muscle Car in the history of AMC AND the FASTEST PRODUCTION USA CAR FOR 1974. This highly optioned and extremely rare example sports the rare option 401 CID motor. Additional options include a 4 speed transmission, 3.54:1 Traction Lock rear end, Tilt wheel, rear defrost, rally pack and GO package, mini spare tire and OPTIONAL MAXI BLUE paint with front nose optional GO PACK STRIPE.
This is a complete numbers matching, rust free example with less than 75 miles since a COMPLETE Mechanical and Cosmetic restoration taking over 3 years to complete with no exspense spared. Interior is all orginal and in excellent condition. Everyhting on this car works as it shoud. All orginal glass and body panels. Only NOS parts were used. Fresh Balanced & Blueprinted motor, including bored .030 over, block and heads magnafluxed, new camshaft, full valve job and head resurfacing, fresh carburetor re-jet, new water pump, brand new close ratio power steering parts and pump, new rear wheel brake cylinders, new brakes, new emergency brake cables, new rear air shocks and air lines, new aluminum valve covers, new battery, new front struts and bushings, new Master Cylinder and Brake Booster, new heavy duty clutch disc assembly, and ceramic coated headers! Brand new BF Goodrich Radial TA's installed. Only a total of 4,980 Javelin-AMX's were produced in the final year of 1974 with only 24 cars to be equiped the 401/4 speed GO PACK combination and ONLY 1 of 4 know to exsist in the RARE Maxi Blue Paint combination.
