From Drew Alcazar of Russon & Steele: "As a testimonial to the many relationships we have fostered in the last ten years of our existence, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Granted, some clients were horrified, but many were amazed at the large number of cars that were undamaged or much less severely than expected. Again, as a statement of the strength of the many clients who we also know as friends, people came up to me as I stood in the middle of our staging lanes and offered their empathy. I could see in their eyes the range of feelings they had all at the same time; shock, anger, dismay, fear, to name a few. I was amazed at the overwhelming level of support shown by so many. You could have pushed me over with a feather when Jeff Muecke of UTI schools came up to me, pointing to his SEMA show truck that had a large tent pole crush the hood and grille and say; “I want you to put my truck on your block and sell her for what you can. Then I want you to donate every penny to the Boys and Girls Club”. Before I could believe my ears, Roy Cats of Cats Exotics walked up and said: “My Challenger got banged up a little bit but I still want to put it on the block. Donate all the proceeds to the Scottsdale Firefighters as gratitude for keeping everyone safe. ” Once again, I was astounded by the generosity of our consignors when Bob and Christine Cuevas approached me to donated the proceeds from their 1977 Chevrolet Corvette to Big Brothers Big Sisters. These were the moments that kept me going; the moments that renewed my faith. The moments that are the true showcase of the very best of our “family”!
