1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

1972 Chevelle SS 454 finished in Midnight Blue over inset Silver Stripes and Black interior.  This FULLY NUMBERS MATCHING Chevelle has just received an extensive frame off, nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration at at cost of over $60,000 - less than 500 miles ago.  The original SS 402 is matching numbers but been restored to pavement pounding 454 specs! Not only is the SS 402 original and matching, but so is the Turbo 400 (3 speed auto) transmission, and original Posi Rear End.  The upgraded 454 has plenty of horsepower and ready to tear up the road. The 45,000 original miles are fully documented and even comes with the original build sheet still intact. Comes will all working factory AM/FM Stereo, A/C that blows cold and front disc/rear drum brakes.

No expense was spared on this SS's restoration. The body was mostly rust free at the start of the restoration and the frame is in excellent condition.   All areas of the Chevelle were carefully restored, and it is now a 100% rust free car as all holes were welded & filled as the car was stripped to bare metal. The car was then primered with Epoxy Primer, sanded and then painted with a black base coat to help see all imperfections (which were then taken care of). The car was then custom painted Midnight Blue Metallic with inset Silver stripes (that are flat against the paint, no ridges). This Chevelle received all new front fenders including inner fenders and the trunk pans were replaced.  It also received all new chrome, new weather seals, and all lights and electrical were carefully restored as well as new headlights and taillights for a better quality restoration.  Front and back windshields as well as both door windows were also replaced with brand new ones. The interior was also completely replaced with all new seats, headliner, door panels, dash pad and console. Custom FOOSE wheels were also added to complete the look.  Mechanically, the Matching #'s SS 402 was perfectly restored to 454 specs and a new MSD Ignition system, distributor, and Alternator with Internal Voltage Regulator were added to increase performance and reliability. It also got completely new suspension, springs, shocks, bushings, and alignment as well as all new weather stripping throughout the entire car.  The exhaust is also completely new throughout, Flowmaster mufflers and correct chrome tips with Full vent canister (early smog control is in place for looks but not connected - a rare and hard to find part).

No expense was spared and everything from the original build sheet, to the low original miles to the extensive restoration has been documented fully (including receipts, expense spreadsheet, and photos of the whole process from start to finish).
